Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer Review

Too Faced is by far one of my favourite brands. They always bring out incredible products and every detail is perfect from the product to the packaging to the scent. My collection is growing but my favourite products are 100% the Bronzers, Sketch Marker Liner and the Chocolate Melted Lipstick. For years I have repurchased the Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer but earlier this year I picked up the Sun Bunny Bronzer after hearing good things.

Sephora Winter Flush Blush Palette

If you haven't already seen I recently did a Sephora Haul on my blog, catch up with the full post here. I ordered from Sephora a few months ago now and one of the items I picked up was the Sephora Winter Flush Palette. As soon as I saw it on the website I knew I needed it. I wear blusher every time I wear makeup and I tend to love a mixture of shades from pinks, peaches, mauve's and more so this palette really stood out to me.

Winter Makeup Picks

Winter makeup has to be my favourite. I love all the warmer darker tones but also with a pop of colour. It was so easy for me to pick out my favourite Winter picks. I've got you covered from base to eyes to a poppin highlight. I do enjoy Summer makeup but Winter takes it for me, I feel I can be more creative.

full coverage foundations

All About That Base...

I always recommend this foundation it is one of my go to bases. It is fuller coverage and leaves your skin looking flawless. I have oily-combination skin and this works well for both. It keeps me shine free for the longest time, it doesn't break up or look cakey. The shade range is huge!

This foundation is probably my favourite find this year. I am on my third bottle and also just purchased two more as backups! Now for someone that owns over 30 foundations, this shows just how much I am obsessed with this one. It just looks flawless and I can find my perfect shade in this. It is a medium coverage. They have expanded the shade range so there are now 10 shades available online.

This is one gorgeous powder. You can use it as a powder on top of a foundation or use it as a foundation. I use it both ways and I find it really gives a flawless finish whilst being lightweight.

foiled eyeshadows

Three eyeshadows I have fallen in love with this year are these three stunning shades.

Makeup Geek Grandstand - is a gorgeous foiled bronze shadow

Makeup Geek Jester - is such a unique green foiled shade I adore.

ColourPop Stay Golden - This shade is so pretty. A matte deep pinky red.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette

Now we all know the mixed reviews this palette has had but for me it is incredible. The pigmentation is insane, the colours are 100% Autumn and Winter Shades. You can see swatches of all shades in my full review here.

high end highlighters

Highlighters & Blushers

I have become obsessed with this highlighter. With having pale/fair skin I can never find a gold toned highlighter that works as most show up too dark on me. This one is perfect, it is a pale gold that has an intense glow. If you love a good intense glow this is for you! It also comes in other shades. If you want to see how this looks on then check out my full review here which includes face swatches.

Too Faced Prismatic Highlighter "Ray of Light" | £25.00 | Link

This highlighter I didn't expect to love as much as I do. It is a unique rose gold shade that looks stunning on. I don't own another highlighter like this. It is rose gold but has specks of gold in it. It works perfectly on pale, fair or medium skin tones. It isn't the most intense glow but it is definitely buildable. You can see face swatches in my full review here.

too faced ray of light swatch, topshop afterglow swatch

One of my go to blushers. It is the perfect Winter blush. Again it works on pale, fair or medium skin tones. The shade can be a very sheer colour or built up. I love how it looks.

This is one of my holy grail products. It can be used as a blush or as a contour shade. I use it both ways. If I use it as a blush I just use a light hand and it adds a little warmth to your skin. It isn't too warm toned or too cool toned.

winter lipsticks

Lipsticks - Something For Everyone

This is probably hands down my favourite lipstick formula. It is extremely creamy but dries matte but not your usually drying kind of matte. I find 90% of matte lipsticks drying but these aren't. The best part is this formula lasts over 6 hours before re applying. I can eat and drink and it will still be there. This shade is a gorgeous mauve.

How stunning is the packaging of this lipstick! As soon as I saw these on Instagram I knew I wanted one and the shade Toast stood out to me. I love my nude shades as this is a warm toned nude. It has a brown undertone to it. The formula is creamy but long lasting.

One of my favourite liquid lipstick formulas. There aren't many liquid lipstick formulas I like but this one is extremely comfortable to wear. This shade is a deeper muted pink. Perfect for this time of year.

A deep chocolate brown that steals my heart. I adore this shade. The formula is a matte and this lasts for hours! I don't find it drying at all.

My Christmas Wishlist

Christmas Wishlist

I don't know why but this year I have really struggled to give people idea's of what I want when they have asked me. There are the odd things I really want but this year nothing has stood out massively to me. Although I am really looking forward to Christmas this year. My sister and nephew are coming and this is the first Christmas in 3 years I can afford to buy presents as I am working again. It is really nice to look forward to it again.

After 3 years of being housebound back in August I finally went back to working. I got a new job and I am enjoying it so much. It is nice to be around people again and be normal. Now I am earning money again it is nice to be able to plan ahead and book things. I have a couple of things I am looking forward to and hope to plan more.

Sephora Makeup Haul

I was naughty... I placed a Sephora order but in my defense I did also order some Christmas presents. I did get some extra products when I placed the order but I can't show them in the post as the 3 people I bought them for all read my blog! I can show you everything I picked up for me though. Some products I have tried before and stocked up but most of them are new ones which I was so excited to try.

New From Vichy | Covermatte Compact Powder Foundation Review*

Vichy Covermatte Compact Powder Foundation Review

It is no secret how much of a fan I am of Vichy from their skincare to the makeup. Vichy is a brand that releases product after product but always has that high end quality. They recently launched the Covermatte Compact Powder Foundation which is something I have been waiting for them to release. Vichy makeup is aimed at the fuller coverage side as they aim products to people who suffer with acne, blemishes and un even skin tone.

Bomb Cosmetics Bath Bombs

Wednesday, November 08, 2017

I have been buying from Bomb Cosmetics for so long! I don't know how they aren't more raved about. They have an incredible range of bath bombs, bath creams and candles. They are affordable too. I love the cute designs they have and decided to place another order with some new ones I haven't tried. I am impressed with most of them and you can see below how they looked in my bath!

Nip and Fab Teen Skin Range

Monday, November 06, 2017

My skincare routine is changing every few months at the moment, my skin keeps changing and it is hard to find products that work. I'm 25 so not classed as a teen but the Nip and Fab Teen Skin range caught my eye. My skin is breakout prone on my chin, I don't tend to get breakouts anywhere else. It is extremely oily on/around my nose and chin then the rest of my skin is usually normal or it can be combination. The range is targeted at blemish and breakout prone skin which is exactly what I have.

Benefit Hoola Quickie Contour Stick Review

Contouring has become part of my daily makeup routine. Whether I go for a subtle look or I define my cheekbones until they won't go anymore, I always make sure to contour in some way. I have recently become obsessed with cream contouring as it is so quick and easy and it blends into your makeup much more effortlessly. I adore the original Benefit Hoola Bronzer, the colour is perfect and it blends really well. When I saw Benefit had released a cream contour version I knew I needed it in my life.

Makeup Revolution Soph X Eyeshadow Palette Review And Swatches

Makeup Revolution Soph X Eyeshadow Palette Review

I started watching Sophs YouTube Channel around 6 months ago now I think. I don't follow many UK based YouTubers but I love her channel. When I saw she had released two products with Makeup Revolution I was intrigued. Not that I need anymore eyeshadow palettes but this one stood out to me with the shade range. Alot of palettes have similar tones but I like how this has such a wide range.

Topshop afterglow highlighter review

My highlighter collection has suddenly grown, I have become obsessed with buying them. When I was recently shopping I spotted these highlighters in Top. The rose gold packaging drew me in. I haven't heard alot about Topshop highlighters but when I swatched it in store my heart skipped a beat. That glow was UNREAL!

Teapigs Tea Review

Teapigs Tea Review
What's better than a brew? A brew solves everything. Since going dairy free last year green tea's have become my go to but I easily get bored. Then I saw Teapigs on Twitter when I saw Alex from Xandra Rose mention them. I hadn't heard of the brand before and I was intrigued. They do a mixture of Green Tea, White Tea and Flavoured Tea. I decided to order three and see how I got on before ordering more.

Formula 10.0.6 Skincare Review

Monday, October 23, 2017
Formula 10.0.6 Skincare Review

Formula 10.0.6 is a skincare brand that claims to perfect troublesome skin with ingredients that work. I am all about finding affordable skincare that actually works. My skin suffers with oilyness, dry patches now and then and breakouts on my chin. Usually my skin is pretty clear but the past few months I am getting non stop breakouts on my chin. These products came at the perfect time to really put them to the test.

Lush Tea Tree Toner Water Review

Lush Tea Tree Toner Water Review

Lately my skin has been breaking out quite bad on my chin. I never usually get breakouts or if I do it is usually just one but at the moment I keep getting so many on my chin. I know breakouts on your chin/mouth area are hormonal, so thanks hormones! I saw Alice from Dainty Alice mention the Lush Tea Tree Toner Water and I was intrigued. I do love Tea Tree products especially The Body Shop Tea Tree Night Lotion.

womens chunky grunge boots

Fashion on EmmyWritesAbout? Say what! I am slightly nervous to post this as I am not fashion blogger and never done fashion posts on my blog but I want to try something different. My blog is mainly beauty with hints of lifestyle and baking but I do want to try adding in the odd fashion related post. Body confidence is something I struggle with and im hoping this will help me learn to love my body. One pair of boots... Two Outfits! These boots have become my obsession for the Autumn/Winter time.

A Payday Haul

Monday, October 16, 2017
makeup flatlay

Payday finally arrived! Most of you will know for the past 3 years I was housebound due to an accident and surgeries but I have now gone back into full time employment. So of course when my first payday arrived I wanted to treat myself. The big splurge was my Canon 1300D Camera, I said once I was working I would get a new camera. Then I went shopping to the Trafford Center and thought I would share what I picked up.

Too Faced Sketch Marker Eyeliner Review
When I find a product that is incredible but underrated, I just have to share it on my blog. Too Faced is one of my favourite brands and I have been using the Sketch Marker Eye Liner for around 8 months now. I don't know why it has taken me so long to write about it on my blog. I have tried many liners but why does this one stand out over the rest you ask...

Bloggers Day Out With TheDenaEdit

Wednesday, October 11, 2017

A few weeks ago I not only meet my first blogger but it was also my closet blogging friend TheDenaEdit. I think we have been talking around 18 months-2 years and we literally speak pretty much everyday. Dena is someone I am so glad we became friends, we talk about everything from blogging to boys to chit chat. We finally met up in Blackpool where we went for food and of course did some shopping.

Primers For Combination or Oily Skin Types

Primers For Combination Skin

I remember years ago thinking oh Primer won't make any difference but it actually does. My skin has become more combination at the moment but still extremely oily in my t zone. I have tried and tested numerous primers and have finally found four I can reply on. Sometimes I find certain primers work better with certain foundations, it is all trial and error. Each of these primers have different consistencies so there is something for everyone.

Colourpop No Filter Concealer Review

I am such a huge fan of Colourpop products, especially the Highlighters, Lippie Stix and Ultra Satin Lipsticks. When I first heard they were releasing a No Filter Concealer I was beyond excited as I am a foundation and concealer junkie, my collection is out of control. What impressed me most is that they released 15 shades! I had such high hopes but have been left majorly disappointed.

Primark My Perfect Nude Nourishing Lipgloss Review
Primark makeup isn't something I have been bothered by or rushed to buy. I have seen some people find amazing products in there but usually I can't find anything. A few weeks ago I met up and went shopping with TheDenaEdit, Post coming next week! When in Primark I noticed these nude glosses, I think there were around 6 shades but these two caught my eye.

PIXI Hydrating Milky Mist Review

PIXI Hydrating Milky Mist Review

PIXI skincare has been on my wishlist for so long. I finally picked up the Glow Mud Cleanser and the Hydrating Milky Mist. I have been trying the mist out for over two months now and I have mixed thoughts on it. When skincare is more on the pricey side I expect it to wow me and work really well, does the milky mist wow me or is it just mediocre?

Essential Oils Guide

Over the past few years I make a bigger effort to look after my skin and hair. Years ago I used to avoid any kind of oils as I always thought they wouldn't work with my oily skin but I was wrong. No matter what your skin type is you will always find a product/oil suitable for you skins needs. Essential Oils are something everyone should have in their routine.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette Review

I told myself I didn't want it and then told myself I don't have any shades like this and made myself want it again. I was going to wait until my first wage from my job but my partner bought me it early as a kind of well done on getting the job present. Usually when I buy palettes they look similar to ones I already have but not this one. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette isn't like anything I own and that is what drew me to it. Now it has had some incredible feedback but also quite a bit of negative feedback but I can now finally let my readers know if I think it is a hit or miss.

How I Manage Working Full Time and Blogging

how to blog and work full time

When I first started my blog I wasn't working, as many of you know I was house bound for a few years due to surgeries. At the end of August I started working full time but I wanted to keep my blog as it was with 3-4 posts a week. Blogging and working full time can be stressful but finding a routine that works helps take the stress away and keeps it fun. Now over a month later I am happy with my job and blog and have a routine that works for me.

Maybelline is a brand that never disappoints me. I think over the past few years alot of drugstore brands have really upped they're game and releasing some fantastic products. Maybelline continue to release products I find myself obsessed with. When clearing out my makeup collection recently I noticed how many favourites I had from Maybelline and of course had to share them with you.

What is better than chocolate and cake.. them being mixed together! White chocolate is my favourite and I couldn't believe I have never made white chocolate cupcakes before. High End Full Coverage Foundations

Monday, September 18, 2017
full coverage foundations for oily combination skin

Up until around a year ago I would only wear a full coverage foundation. My skin has always been pretty clear but I do have freckles and a little scarring on my chin. Now I do wear both medium and full coverage bases but especially in Autumn and Winter a full coverage base is my go to. I do like both high end and drugstore foundations, I did do my drugstore collection and high end collection a few months ago, I will leave the links at the end of the post.

The Best Detangler Spray For Thick Knotty Hair

Friday, September 15, 2017
TIGI Bed Head Beach Freak Moisturizing Detangler Spray Review

I have tried numerous detangler sprays and nothing seems to work. My hair is beyond thick and long. When I go to the hairdressers it takes two of them to dry it as it takes that long. I definitely take hair care more seriously as I have got older. I dye my hair different colours and have done for the past ten years but luckily my hair is in good condition. The only issue is when it is wet it becomes extremely knotty and hard to brush.

The Ordinary products have been on my wishlist for a while after seeing so many rave reviews. I finally decided to pick up The Ordinary Coverage Foundation from the Deciem Website.

ColourPop Yes Please Eyeshadow Palette Review

ColourPop eyeshadows are some of my favourites. I have a few of the super shock shadows and a couple of the single pan shadows. When I saw them show the Yes Please Palette on Instagram I knew I needed it in my life. I missed the first sale but managed to get it in the second restock. The shades are perfect for Autumn but is the palette worth the hype?

Skincare Saviours For Breakout Prone and Combination Skin Types

skincare for breakout prone combination skin types
My skin switches between oily to combination. It is a nightmare when your skin decides to switch as it is hard finding products that work. I now have some skincare products that I keep for when my skin is oily or more on the combination side. I think it is important to find specific skincare products to work for your different skincare needs. I have a mixture of products that I find work best if I am breaking out, have dry patches, for my pores, for when I am more oily. I have now got a routine that works well.
