Travel Friendly Makeup Products

When you travel it can be hard deciding what to take. When it comes to makeup it can be hard as you want to try and keep things light and compact. One of the worst things is when you arrive somewhere to find one of your products completely smashed and broke. I am travelling to New York in November which is what prompted this post. I thought I would share some of my favourite Travel Friendly Products.

Foundations For Oily Skin, Travel Friendly Foundations
Top Tip #1. Bases

When it comes to foundations I struggle as I am bit of a junkie owning around 30 foundations so it can be hard to decide which ones to take. To help keep your luggage lightweight and compact I suggest taking foundations in squeezy tubes rather than glass or plastic bottles. In a squeezy tube you know it won't smash and they are very lightweight. Some of my favourites include:

Loose Powder For Oily Skin, Seventeen Miracle Matte Powder

Top Tip #2. Powders

I wear powder everyday especially with having oily skin it is a must! Loose powder is the best thing to travel with. Pressed powders tend to break then end up everywhere. My favourite loose powders at the moment are:

Seventeen Miracle Matte Loose Powder

Contour Palettes, NYX Contour Palette, ELF Contour Palette
Top Tip #3. Contour & Highlight Palettes

These are a great way to save space by getting three products in one! Alot of contour palettes come with bronzers, contour shades and highlighters and some also come with blushers. They literally save so much space and are usually quite slim so you can tuck them in between clothing.
My Top 3:

Eye Shadow Palettes, Custom Z Palette, Carli Bybel Palette

Top Tip #4. Z Palettes & Eye Shadow Palettes

Z Palettes are the perfect travel essential. You can create a palette that has colours relating to where you are going. Mix and match eye shadows, bronzers, highlighters and blushers all in one custom palette.

When it comes to eye shadow palettes you want to try and pick one that is quite lightweight and less chance of them breaking. My current two for travelling are:

The too faced one is good as even though the packaging is a little chunky it is quite lightweight and it has a vast range of colours to create so many looks and it also has a small mirror in.

The Carli Bybel Palette is great as it is super light with the packaging being cardboard. This palettes comes with shadows and highlighters. The shades are more restricted but you can create some pretty looks.

I will be taking some of these with me when I go to New York in November. I am so excited!

Are you going anywhere soon?
