Top 5 Mascara's For Short Eye Lashes

I have to admit even though mascara is an everyday essential in my routine, i dont actually find myself owning many of them. If you were to go through my makeup stash you would find alot of foundations and blushers but mascara's not so much. I think mascara along with concealer are the only products once i find one i love i kind of stick to it. These five mascara's are the only ones i own, if i buy a mascara i don't like then i won't keep it. I usually give them to my mum or friends. I guess at least i know the ones i have are worth having.

GOSH Show Me Volume Mascara | £12.50
This Mascara i have re purchased a few times as i love how thick the brush is. It doesn't clump at all and really thickens up my natural lashes. I do find this one is better for making your lashes appear fuller rather than longer. I think GOSH have now stopped this mascara unfortunately.

I have been using this for around a year now and i will keep on using it. It is the first mascara with the small spikey brush that i have loved. I usually apply a coat of this first as it really does add length to my lashes then i will apply the Gosh or Seventeen Va Va Voom Mascara on top to thicken them. Might i add my lashes are ruined from wearing false lashes for many years so the length is terrible, so for me to find a mascara that can add length as much as this L'Oreal one then i will forever be in love!

Another amazing product by L'Oreal. This was originally my mums which i decided to try and loved. It does the same job as the Telescopic one in which i mean it really does lengthen my lashes well. I find i can wear this alone or again by applying the Va Va Voom one on top.

Seventeen Va Va Voom Mascara | £6.29
Love love love this one! I first purchased this around a few years ago and i have kept re purchasing it ever since. If you love thick, full lashes then this is for you. To get the perfect length i apply this on top of the L'Oreal Telescopic one and it creates the perfect deadly combo!

Seventeen Falseifeye Mascara | £6.99
When i first bought this one i hated it and thought i would never use it again. If you read my blog and have read my latest post March Favourites you would have seen i included this in that post. It is the perfect mascara for your bottom lashes! The brush itself is small but creates length on those bottom lashes. I found it did nothing for my top lashes but the brush is the perfect size for those little bottom ones.

Hopefully you can find a Mascara out of this selection you will love. I have 5 mascara's in my stash which is enough as i have one for every occasion!

March Favourites 2015 / Mac & More

March Favourites 2015 / Mac & More

Another month gone by already! This month has been a better month for me as most of you will know i have been off work for a while awaiting my second knee operation. Im hoping in the next few months everything will be back to normal. Last night me and my boyfriend went to Frankie & Bennys and i have to share a picture of my desert it was so yummy! Next weekend is my mums 50th birthday so we are going out for a family meal, even though i am on a crutch at least i can get dressed up a little!

Frankie and Bennys Deserts

Makeup Revolution Blush Palette "Hot Spice" | £6.00
I have had this palette for quite a while but left it at the back of my drawer until a few weeks ago. I am in love with this blush palette! It includes 2 highlight shades aswel as blush ones. These colours are perfect for Spring.

Revlon Photo Ready Primer | £11.99
I have tried many primers and disliked most of them. I decided to try this one around a month back and i have been using it pretty much everyday. The texture is thicker than a normal moisturiser but smooths into my skin like a dream!

Again this shadow i have had for quite a while and recently found it in my stash. I have fallen in love all over again. It is a gorgeous bronze shade, perfect for a smokey eye.

Seventeen Falsifeye Mascara | £6.99
When i first purchased this mascara i hated it and regretted buying it. The brush is quite thin and spikey and did nothing to "falsify" my lashes. The reason i have included this in my favourites is because i have found it to be the perfect bottom lash mascara! The size of the brush is perfect.

Jimmy Choo Flash Perfume "40ml" | £35.50
I have alot of perfumes which i guess is a bad thing as i always forget which ones i have. This one is such a gorgeous scent that is perfect for spring. The perfume states the scent has "sparkles of Pink Pepper, Tangerine and Strawberry introduce a flash of White Flowers and Tuberose to this Eau De Parfum fragrance"

Clayspray Face Mask Review

Thursday, March 26, 2015
I was recently contacted by a PR Company asking me if i would like to sample Clayspray. It was something i had never heard of before so they sent me a press release with more information explaining what the product was. After reading this i was excited to try the face mask. I was asked what type of skin i have as they sell different ones for different skin types which i found was a good idea as i had never come across a face mask for a specific skin type.

I advised i have very oily skin with slight blemishes. I later received 4 samples of Red Clay Mineral Treatment Masque which is aimed at my skin type. I really didn't know what to expect as i have tried many face masks which most irritate my skin. I washed and exfoliated as normal and then applied the mask. The sample sachets were quite small so i thought i may have needed more than one to cover my whole face but to my suprise one sachet covered my whole face and i was even able to add more onto those more oily areas.

Clayspray Face Mask Review

On application i went about spreading it across my face as you would a normal face mask, the texture was a little thicker than your average mask which i expected with it being clay. I did notice i had to spread it quickly as it did start to dry seconds after applying. Once i covered my whole face it was a dark brown colour.

The Process
I decided to leave the mask on for around 25 minutes. Very quickly i noticed the mask literally turning to clay on my face and turning into a light brown mask. I was amazed at how quickly it dried and tightened on my skin. It tightened more than any other face mask i have tried but yet it still felt really comfortable to wear.

Time to Take it Off
I was dreading having to try and clean it off as it felt rock hard and i expected to have to scrub like mad. I have to say i was amazed again, all i had to do was damp my skin and it turned back into the moist mask you applied in the beginning. It was so easy to wash off with basic warm water, i couldn't believe it!

The End Result
Well my skin felt baby smooth and instantly looked refreshed and healthier. There was no irritation which was a bonus. I have used the mask again since and noticed my skin looking alot more alive! I am so impressed with this mask. I also got my mum to try the mask who has similar skin to me. She agreed and fell in love with the mask. She also couldn't believe at how easy it was to take off.

To buy normally it comes in a 50g Bottle which retails at £25.00. It sounds alot but you get a good size bottle and i only needed a small amount to cover my whole face. Doing this twice a week, i could see the bottle lasting quite a long time.

Clayspray advertises to see visible results of improvement in your skin within just two weeks. I noticed a difference after just one use!

L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation Review

Tuesday, March 24, 2015
Well right now i am sat on the sofa in my dressing gown whilst the hail stone is hitting the windows...dull day or what! I think today calls for slouchy clothes, hot chocolate and pick n mix sweets. Today's post is all about L'Oreals Infallible Matte Foundation. As soon as i saw this had released i needed to get my hands on it asap. I struggle with extremely oily skin so i have tried many "matte" products which haven't worked. So did this beat all the rest?

The packaging is very different to any foundations i own as it comes in a squeezy tube. I do like how sleek it looks rather than being in a chunky bottle. Also i think it would be great for travelling as it is not heavy and doesn't take up much room in your makeup bag! The last L'Oreal foundation i tried was the True Match Foundation which i hate! So i was unsure if i would fall in love or loathe this as much as the True Match.

I tried applying this with my Flat Top Brush and also my Buffing Brush and i have to say i hated the results! I don't know what it was but the finish just looked terrible. So i decided to try using my Real Techniques Sponge which gave a much more flawless finish. I will say if you apply this with a brush and don't like it then try it with a sponge.

The foundation states to be high coverage... no its not! I am a full coverage girl and have tried many foundations which claim to be high in coverage but really they are not. My skin is pretty clear apart from the odd breakout, i have slight blemishes but nothing major so to cover my skin by a high coverage foundation should be easy. I found after applying a layer you could still see my freckles and any breakouts. So i dabbed a little more over those areas blended in with my sponge and still didn't get the full coverage i needed.

It did give the matte finish which i love and i found the lasting power was pretty good apart from around my chin area! Overall i am quite disappointed with this product. If the coverage was actually full then i would be in love. I have also tried mixing it with my Seventeen Stay Time Foundation (which is full coverage) to see if it still gave the matte effect and it does. I think if you like medium coverage and want something matte then this might be for you.

MUA Spring Collection 2015 Review and Swatches

MUA Spring Collection 2015 Review and Swatches

MUA Spring Collection 2015 Review and Swatches

MUA have been a brand i have used for a long time. Over the past year i think they have really upped their game bringing out new releases which have just been amazing. Another reason to love the brand is the prices, they are very reasonable. So when i was browsing on their website i noticed they have released a Spring Collection which includes Lip Tints, Lip gloss, Blush, Prime & Conceal Correcting Creams and an eyeshadow palette. What stood out to me was the bright colours. When it comes to spring i love pinky/coral tones so i was quick to place an order.

Sweet Sheen Lip Balm in "Coral Reef" | £2.00
Yes, Yes i think its time to admit i do have a slight coral coloured addiction. Blushers & Lipsticks you will find most of mine are coral. Out of the 6 shades for the Lip Balm i of course chose the coral one. When applied it gives a subtle colour to your lips which is perfect as i dont always fancy a bold block colour.

Luxe Whipped Velvet Lips in "Ritzy" | £3.00
I own many lip glosses but most of them are either pale pink or nude shades. I took the plunge and ordered a bright shade which i am excited to wear. The shade is very pink and very bright which i think could look gorgeous with the right outfit. The Lip Gloss itself is thicker than your normal gloss but not as sticky as a normal gloss either. Weird i know but it works it really does.

Luxe Whipped Velvet Blush | £3.00
If you read my last post you will know my weakness is blushers. I can't help myself and thats why i could not only order one! In the end i chose Spry which is a light brown/nude blush which looks gorgeous on those natural days. I also ordered ChiChi which again is a Coral shade.

One thing that suprised me with these blushers is the texture. I am not a big fan of cream blushers so when these arrived i wasn't sure i would like them. Honestly they are nothing like i have ever felt before, they are nothing like any other cream blush. The texture is so soft and so velvet like (duh its in the title). I have to say these are like a dream and so easy to apply.

MUA Lip Liner "Pink Me Up" | £1.00
I cheated a little as the liner is not part of the MUA Spring Collection but i needed a lip liner to match the Gloss Ritzy and i think this liner goes perfectly.

Overall i could not be happier, MUA have delivered once again. If i had to choose a favourite it would have to be the blushers just for how creamy and soft they feel. Have you tried anything from this collection?

Spring Makeup Favourites

Spring Makeup Favourites

Spring is my favourite season for makeup. The weather starts getting warmer and brighter and so does your makeup. Summer makeup is pretty to but it gets too hot my makeup just melts. I have a tall five drawer tower which holds most of my makeup so this past week i have been shopping my stash for my favourite Spring pieces. One of my go to products for Spring is pink blush, i love how it brightens up my skin and looks healthy.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Correcting Serum | £16.99
I have to admit i have never been a big believer of using serums until i came across this in Boots last Summer and thought i would give it a try. Nearly a year on and im still using it and wouldn't try anything else. This serum is amazeballs! I wash my face as normal and then moisturize then i apply this. I use a pump and a half and that covers my whole face. It definitely wakes my skin up and has a cooling sensation whilst it sinks into my skin. The end result my skin has a gorgeous glow. After using this nearly everyday i have noticed a big difference in how healthy my skin looks. The Skin Perfection Range is aimed at women in their twenties.

Seventeen Skin Wow Highlighter | £5.99
Again i first purchased this at the end of last summer and it has been hiding away in stash until now. I find it is a little too thick to be used as a general highlighter so i decided to try mixing it with my foundation and i have to say it works wonders. It gives my skin such a gorgeous glowy look with a dewy finish. Having oily skin means i dont usually like dewy skin but in the Spring my skin can deal with it.

I can see this being my go to foundation in the next few months especially in the summer when it becomes warmer. The coverage is light but in a weird way it gives a flawless finish. It is oil free which means it works well with oily skin types. As the coverage is light i will say this foundation doesn't work if you have a breakout. If you want to read my full review of this foundation then please click here.

I love these lip crayons for s/s. They dont feel as thick/heavy as a lipstick but the colour comes out just as good. The lasting power is also impressive especially in the heat.

As i mentioned in the intro pink blushers are my go to in Spring. I will admit my blusher collection is a little obsessive at owning 42 blushers and that doesn't include any blusher palettes i have. Elf's Blush Palette is amazing for only £7.95 it includes 4 blushers in a compact case with a huge mirror and the pigmentation is lovely. Topshop also have gorgeous blushers from powder or cream in some pretty shades. One of the newest blushers in my collection is KIKO's Blush Compact which includes pink and coral shades perfect for this time of year.

Do you have any go to products for this time of year?

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation Review For Oily Skin

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation Review For Oily Skin

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation Review For Oily Skin

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation is a newbie to my collection, i only bought this around a month ago. I am a full coverage kind of girl so it was a suprise i took the plunge and bought this as it is a light coverage foundation. My boyfriend bought me the complexion start kit for Christmas which did include a tester of this product.

My skin type is very oily but i sometimes get dry patches on top of my cheeks. Breakouts happen now and again but usually my skin is pretty clear. I have this foundation in the shade Honey which is a perfect match for me. The foundation itself has quite a runny consistency so i find it best to apply with my Real Techniques Sponge. It applies evenly and spreads well. The finish is dewy which i was unsure about with having oily skin but i do always apply powder.

The coverage is very strange. It is light coverage but my skin looks flawless. My blemishes are covered well but i would say if you have a breakout then this foundation is not for those days. It does not cover up breakouts so i do prefer the usual full coverage foundation. I can see myself wearing this alot when the weather warms up and i want something not as heavy on my face. When applying the foundation at 8am i did not think the lasting power would last very well due to having oily skin but it lasts all day without going patchy at all! I do the usual top up with powder once in the afternoon and that is it.

Another thing i like about this product is the bottle itself. I love the idea you can see how much is left so you know when your running out. For best results i do apply the POREfessional Primer all over my face to ensure i keep that flawless look. Overall i have to say im impressed. Not only is it dewy and light coverage it has somehow managed to make me fall in love.

MAC Cinderella Collection Review - A Controversial Review!

MAC Cinderella Collection Review

MAC has to be one of my favourite brands. I have tried many products from primers to eyeshadows and fallen in love with every product. So when i saw MAC were teaming up with Disney and creating a Cinderella Range i was extremely excited. Not only am i a big lover of MAC i am also Disney obsessed! The morning of the launch i went online and decided to order two items from the range totaling £40.00. Twenty minutes after i had ordered them the entire range was out of stock! I was quite shocked at how quickly everything sold.

So why am i a little disappointed and doing my first ever MAC mixed review!

MAC Cinderella Iridescent Powder | £23.00
I decided on this pretty powder as i loved the pink and thought it would give a gorgeous colour to my cheeks. When i opened it i was in love, the shade looked gorgeous! I used my Mac 127 brush and i have also tried my Real Techniques Blush Brush to apply this pretty in pink powder known as "Coupe D'Chic". I was very disappointed at how little pigmentation there is! Because of the lack of pigments i actually use this as a highlighter. It does work well as a highlighter but its a shame it doesn't live up to the usual MAC standards.

MAC Cinderella Lipstick in "Royal Ball" | £17.00
With two lipstick shades to choose from, one being nude and one being pinkish. I decided to go with the light pale pink shade as i have too many nude lipsticks. Again when i opened the lipstick it was as shown on the website a pretty pale pink colour. When i applied the lipstick it wasn't pink at all, it is a sheer lipstick with a hint of glitter/shine. I have since tried the lipstick on top of nude shades and other shades and it works well just to add that extra shine.

The Packaging
I do love the light lavender blue packaging, the shade is very Cinderella. I do think the gold does make it look a little cheap. I understand the writing being gold which i quite like but i dont like the chunks of gold on the lipstick and powder compacts.

MAC Cinderella Collection Review

Above i am wearing both the powder and lipstick. As you can see the powder works as a highlight and the lipstick is very pale. Please excuse the messy hair and lack of makeup as i mainly wanted to show of these products only.

I am quite sad to have been disappointed with this range as i was like a kid in a sweet shop! Have you tried anything from this range?

My Top 5 Blushers All £10 or Under

Thursday, March 12, 2015
If you read my blog you will have seen i have decided to do "My Top 5 Series" including many different products. I have such a big makeup collection which can be a bad thing as i end up forgetting alot of products i own and i have even found some i have never used! I decided to have a clear out and sort through alot of the makeup i have. I would definitely recommend having a sort through and you will be amazed at some products you forgot you had! Do you own alot of makeup or do you stick to a small select few?

My Top 5 Blushers All £10 or Under

1. Gosh Blush Stick in "02 Shy" | £6.99
I featured this blush on my blog many months ago. Im not normally a cream blush kind of girl. This one comes in a tube which you twist to get more product. It is a very creamy blush which is also very easy to blend. The shade is a pale brown which no shimmer. I do find this blush works really well once i have contoured.

2. Smooch Blusher in "Cookie Crumble" | £2.99
This brown toned blush is perfect for those natural days. I came across this on someones blog a long time ago and finally found it on ebay. When im having a lazy day i use this blush to give me a little warmth. It has a slight shimmer which looks lovely in the light. I have read some reviews which compare this to Nars Douceur Blush.

3. Makeup Revolution Blush in "Now" | £1.00
Everyone knows im a huge Makeup Revolution fan, i have so many products and never disliked any of them. Im sure this is the cheapest blush i have ever owned but the quality is amazing. I have around 5 of these now and find each one is extremely pigmented and looks gorgeous on my skin. If you want the perfect blush then order some of these!

4. GOSH Blush in "Pink Pie" | £7.99
Love at first sight right here! How pretty is this blush, its stunning. GOSH also do this in a peach/gold tones which i want to try. I have re purchased this pink one twice and it never gets old. I love the four different shades, they blend together beautifully.

Everyone knows Sleek, i have tried a few products and i have to say the blushers are the only thing i like. This blush by 3 is gorgeous it is have 2 powder blushers and 1 cream one. The palettes are such good quality and 3 blushers for £10 you cant complain. The size of blushers is very good along with a good size mirror inside.

My Top 5 Foundations

Monday, March 09, 2015
My Top 5 Foundations

I recently decided i am going to do a series of "My Top 5" including blushers, primers, makeup brushes and more. I enjoy reading posts about other bloggers favourites and finding new products that work for me. I do struggle with oily skin but i will advise if the product would work for other skin types.

Seventeen Stay Time Foundation | £6.49
I have been using this since last summer and i have kept re-purchasing it and will keep using it for a long time to come. I have tried many full coverage foundations and found they are infact not full coverage at all. My skin is pretty clear and i only have the odd breakout now and again but i do generally just like the full coverage look. This foundation is the most full coverage i have found and surprisingly it doesn't feel heavy on my skin. The bottle has a pump for easy application. It lasts all day even with my oily skin, it leaves a dewy finish but once i apply my powder it looks amazing.

For Best Results Apply With: Flat Top Brush
Skin type: I think this would also work for dry skin or anyone who has bad breakouts.

Maxfactor Face Finity Foundation | £8.15
I bought this back in January after using the primer from the Face Finity Range. This foundation is medium coverage and feels very light on my skin. I do find i reach more for this foundation when my skin is clear as it does cling a little to any dry areas but it works well with my oily skin. Boots sell this for £12.00 but if you click the link above all beauty sell it for only £8.15.

For Best Results Apply with: I use my Mac 187 which is extremely soft
Skin type: Oily skin, unsure if it would work well with dry skin.

My boyfriend bought me this for Christmas and he actually got the right shade and everything! The downfall is it doesn't come with a pump so i did pay an additional £3 for the pump. The coverage is medium but buildable. I have found i dont need to use alot of product as it does spread well. It states to absorb oil and lasts for 8 hours which i have found it does last longer if you apply powder during the day. If i want a fuller coverage i have recently been mixing this with my Revlon Colorstay Foundation which gives the perfect coverage.

For Best Results Apply with: Mac 187 Brush or Real Techniques Sponge
Skin type: Oily Skin (it does cling to my dry patches but i have heard people with dry skin say it worked for them)

I also got a sample size of this in a set for Christmas. This is a light coverage foundation so i honestly didnt think i would like it at all. I was wrong, this foundation blends my blemishes and evens out my skin tone. Yes the coverage is light so i wouldn't use this if i have a breakout. I first wore this on an all day shopping trip and it did last all day, i had a little bit of shine around my chin but i would of normally touched up with powder. I can see this being a favourite in the summer.

For Best Results Apply with: Flat Top Brush or Real Techniques Sponge
Skin type: Oily Skin

Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Foundation | £5.99
I dont usually like Collection products but i did pick this up a few months ago. The main reason i picked it up is that it is oil free and lasts for up to 16 hours. The foundation does feel a little thick but once i have buffed it into my skin it feels quite light. The shades i have read alot of people say they are a little dark/orange but for me once applied it doesn't look orange and once i buff it in a little more it blends well.

For Best Results Apply with: Flat Top Brush or Buffing Brush
Skin type: Oily/Combination Skin

Primark Haul

Sunday, March 08, 2015
Primark isn't somewhere i shop that often, i usually go to stock up on underwear and pjs mainly. I dont think i have bought many clothing items as i find it can be hit or miss but i have had some great bargains. I am having my knee operation in a few days so i wanted to get a few little bits as its going to be a while before i can go again. With my knee operation being on wednesday i will be doing one more post on tuesday then im not sure when the next one will be. It all depends on how i am feeling as it is my second knee operation and recovery could be a while. Hopefully by the weekend i will have one up again.

So what did i buy?

Primark Swimsuit

Primark Swimsuit

Swimsuit | £13.00
I fell in love with this as soon as i laid eyes on it. I have been wanting a swimsuit for a while but i either wanted it with a low v cut of a cut out back. This one is perfect, once on it looks so pretty and very flattering. I must admit i was a little shocked when i saw it was £13 from Primark, i know its still cheap for what it is but i guess i always expect Primark to be cheaper than high street brands. I would of probably paid more though ha!

Primark Pyjamas

Popcorn Pjs | £10.00
How cute are these?! I own too many pjs but i couldnt resist! The bottoms are a legging fit with the red & white stripes and the top as you can see if the popcorn! I got the top in a bigger size as i do like baggy t shirts for bed. I cant get over how cute these are. The bottoms are £6 and £4 for the top.

Primark Disney T Shirt

T shirts | £6 each
Who doesnt like a comfy t shirt? The mean girls one i have seen on instagram and loved it. The Ariel one was an easy decision, i am Disney OBSESSED! Ariel is my favourite and disney is just disney! I did want the Ariel pjs but they only had the tops and no bottoms?

Primark Underwear Set

Underwear Set | £10.00
Not many stores sell pretty underwear. I dont live in a big city so the only places for underwear are Newlook or Sainsburys. I love this set, it is so girly and pretty and such good quality. The bra i think was £7 and the bottoms were £3.

Primark Bedding

Bedding & Cushion | £15.00
I have recently moved my room around and i have been wanting some new bedding and cushions. My room is cream with pink & purple tones. My boyfriend actually bought me the bedding, i love how it is simple yet something different. Then when i saw the cushion to match i was in heaven. The bedding was only £11 for a double! The cushion was £3. Another thing i love about the bedding is it is reversible!

It is only a small haul as i did find the clothing was a bit crap and cheap looking! I have too much jewellry already so i was good and stayed away from this section as i think my boyfriend had, had enough by the time we were done.

Benefit They're Real Eyeliner Review

Benefit They're Real Eyeliner Review

Any product that says it makes winged eyeliner easy is a must for me. I have tried the usual pen shaped eyeliners which i found useless and could never ever get the lines even and the wing just didn't work at all. So the question is how is the Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner any different?
